Tirunelveli

Tirunelveli is a district in the Tamil Nadu State of India. Total area of Tirunelveli is 6,693 km² including 5,635.87 km² rural area and 1,057.13 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Tirunelveli has a population of 30,77,233 peoples, out of which urban population is 15,20,229 while rural population is 15,57,004. Tirunelveli has a sex ratio of approximately 1023 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 460 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 8,15,528 houses in the district, including 3,96,471 urban houses and 4,19,057 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 430 villages in tirunelveli district.
