Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu

Tirunelveli District is an administrative district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated about 640 km from Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu. The district headquarters is located at Tirunelveli. Tamil is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 6,693 km², including 5,635.87 km² of rural area and 1,057.13 km² of urban area.
