Tiruvannamalai District, Tamil Nadu

Tiruvannamalai District is an administrative district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated about 185 km from Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu. The district headquarters is located at Tiruvannaamalai. Tamil is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 6,188 km², including 6,013.68 km² of rural area and 174.32 km² of urban area.
