Virudhunagar

Virudhunagar is a district in the Tamil Nadu State of India. Total area of Virudhunagar is 4,241 km² including 3,794.30 km² rural area and 446.70 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Virudhunagar has a population of 19,42,288 peoples, out of which urban population is 9,80,226 while rural population is 9,62,062. Virudhunagar has a sex ratio of approximately 1007 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 458 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 5,37,748 houses in the district, including 2,72,746 urban houses and 2,65,002 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 475 villages in virudhunagar district.
