Ballia is a district in the Uttar Pradesh State of India. Total area of Ballia is 2,981 km² including 2,912.80 km² rural area and 68.20 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Ballia has a population of 32,39,774 peoples, out of which urban population is 3,04,109 while rural population is 29,35,665. Ballia has a sex ratio of approximately 936 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1087 inhabitants per square kilometre.
