Bageshwar is a district in the Uttarakhand State of India. Total area of Bageshwar is 2,241 km² including 2,235.50 km² rural area and 5.50 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Bageshwar has a population of 2,59,898 peoples, out of which urban population is 9,079 while rural population is 2,50,819. The district has a population density of 116 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 58,046 houses in the district, including 2,054 urban houses and 55,992 rural houses.
