Bageshwar

Bageshwar is a district in the Uttarakhand State of India. Total area of Bageshwar is 2,241 km² including 2,235.50 km² rural area and 5.50 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Bageshwar has a population of 2,59,898 peoples, out of which urban population is 9,079 while rural population is 2,50,819. Bageshwar has a sex ratio of approximately 1090 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 116 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 58,046 houses in the district, including 2,054 urban houses and 55,992 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 874 villages in bageshwar district.
