Chamoli

Chamoli is a district in the Uttarakhand State of India. Total area of Chamoli is 8,030 km² including 7,990.47 km² rural area and 39.53 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Chamoli has a population of 3,91,605 peoples, out of which urban population is 59,396 while rural population is 3,32,209. Chamoli has a sex ratio of approximately 1018 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 49 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 88,964 houses in the district, including 14,646 urban houses and 74,318 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,170 villages in chamoli district.
