Champawat

Champawat is a district in the Uttarakhand State of India. Total area of Champawat is 1,766 km² including 1,752.96 km² rural area and 13.04 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Champawat has a population of 2,59,648 peoples, out of which urban population is 38,343 while rural population is 2,21,305. Champawat has a sex ratio of approximately 980 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 147 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 53,953 houses in the district, including 8,212 urban houses and 45,741 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 662 villages in champawat district.
