Hardwar

Hardwar is a district in the Uttarakhand State of India. Total area of Hardwar is 2,360 km² including 2,238.76 km² rural area and 121.24 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Hardwar has a population of 18,90,422 peoples, out of which urban population is 6,93,094 while rural population is 11,97,328. Hardwar has a sex ratio of approximately 880 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 801 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,38,104 houses in the district, including 1,33,627 urban houses and 2,04,477 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 518 villages in hardwar district.
