Nainital

Nainital is a district in the Uttarakhand State of India. Total area of Nainital is 4,251 km² including 4,153.12 km² rural area and 97.88 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Nainital has a population of 9,54,605 peoples, out of which urban population is 3,71,734 while rural population is 5,82,871. Nainital has a sex ratio of approximately 933 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 225 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,91,383 houses in the district, including 76,429 urban houses and 1,14,954 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,097 villages in nainital district.
