Pithoragarh

Pithoragarh is a district in the Uttarakhand State of India. Total area of Pithoragarh is 7,090 km² including 7,073.50 km² rural area and 16.50 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Pithoragarh has a population of 4,83,439 peoples, out of which urban population is 69,605 while rural population is 4,13,834. Pithoragarh has a sex ratio of approximately 1020 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 68 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,14,730 houses in the district, including 17,759 urban houses and 96,971 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,572 villages in pithoragarh district.
