South Twenty Four Parganas is a district in the West Bengal State of India. Total area of South Twenty Four Parganas is 9,960 km² including 9,541.28 km² rural area and 418.72 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, South Twenty Four Parganas has a population of 81,61,961 peoples, out of which urban population is 20,87,773 while rural population is 60,74,188. South Twenty Four Parganas has a sex ratio of approximately 955 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 819.5 inhabitants per square kilometre.
