Tinsukia

Tinsukia is a district in the Assam State of India. Total area of Tinsukia is 3,790 km² including 3,728.50 km² rural area and 61.50 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Tinsukia has a population of 13,27,929 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,64,743 while rural population is 10,63,186. Tinsukia has a sex ratio of approximately 952 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 350.4 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,68,598 houses in the district, including 57,891 urban houses and 2,10,707 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,136 villages in tinsukia district.
