Begusarai is a district in the Bihar State of India. Total area of Begusarai is 1,918 km² including 1,776.28 km² rural area and 141.72 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Begusarai has a population of 29,70,541 peoples, out of which urban population is 5,69,823 while rural population is 24,00,718. Begusarai has a sex ratio of approximately 894 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1549 inhabitants per square kilometre.
