Sitamarhi is a district in the Bihar State of India. Total area of Sitamarhi is 2,294 km² including 2,255.05 km² rural area and 38.95 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Sitamarhi has a population of 34,23,574 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,90,498 while rural population is 32,33,076. The district has a population density of 1492 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 7,36,322 houses in the district, including 37,048 urban houses and 6,99,274 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 808 villages in sitamarhi district.
The Sitamarhi district is further divided in to Subdivisions / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
