Bijapur is a district in the Chhattisgarh State of India. Total area of Bijapur is 8,530 km² including 8,448.71 km² rural area and 81.29 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Bijapur has a population of 2,55,230 peoples, out of which urban population is 29,600 while rural population is 2,25,630. The district has a population density of 29.92 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 54,757 houses in the district, including 6,468 urban houses and 48,289 rural houses.
