Korba

Korba is a district in the Chhattisgarh State of India. Total area of Korba is 6,598 km² including 6,321.50 km² rural area and 276.50 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Korba has a population of 12,06,640 peoples, out of which urban population is 4,46,290 while rural population is 7,60,350. Korba has a sex ratio of approximately 968 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 182.9 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,80,073 houses in the district, including 99,855 urban houses and 1,80,218 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 707 villages in korba district.
