Koriya

Koriya is a district in the Chhattisgarh State of India. Total area of Koriya is 6,604 km² including 6,389.95 km² rural area and 214.05 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Koriya has a population of 6,58,917 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,05,299 while rural population is 4,53,618. Koriya has a sex ratio of approximately 968 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 99.78 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,53,274 houses in the district, including 45,081 urban houses and 1,08,193 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 623 villages in koriya district.
