Mahasamund

Mahasamund is a district in the Chhattisgarh State of India. Total area of Mahasamund is 4,790 km² including 4,730.68 km² rural area and 59.32 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Mahasamund has a population of 10,32,754 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,20,152 while rural population is 9,12,602. Mahasamund has a sex ratio of approximately 1017 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 215.6 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,48,561 houses in the district, including 27,026 urban houses and 2,21,535 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,112 villages in mahasamund district.
