South Delhi

South Delhi is a district in the Delhi National Capital Territory of India. Total area of South Delhi is 247 km² including 13.15 km² rural area and 233.85 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, South Delhi has a population of 27,31,929 peoples, out of which urban population is 27,19,736 while rural population is 12,193. South Delhi has a sex ratio of approximately 861 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 11060 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 5,74,133 houses in the district, including 5,71,676 urban houses and 2,457 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 3 villages in south delhi district.

The South Delhi district is further divided in to Tehsils / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
