Ambala

Ambala is a district in the Haryana State of India. Total area of Ambala is 1,574 km² including 1,440.40 km² rural area and 133.60 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Ambala has a population of 11,28,350 peoples, out of which urban population is 5,00,774 while rural population is 6,27,576. Ambala has a sex ratio of approximately 884 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 717 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,24,334 houses in the district, including 1,06,632 urban houses and 1,17,702 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 461 villages in ambala district.
