Hisar

Hisar is a district in the Haryana State of India. Total area of Hisar is 3,983 km² including 3,835.53 km² rural area and 147.47 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Hisar has a population of 17,43,931 peoples, out of which urban population is 5,53,488 while rural population is 11,90,443. Hisar has a sex ratio of approximately 872 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 438 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,35,608 houses in the district, including 1,09,957 urban houses and 2,25,651 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 268 villages in hisar district.
