Kurukshetra

Kurukshetra is a district in the Haryana State of India. Total area of Kurukshetra is 1,530 km² including 1,455.63 km² rural area and 74.37 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Kurukshetra has a population of 9,64,655 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,79,225 while rural population is 6,85,430. Kurukshetra has a sex ratio of approximately 887 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 630 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,88,143 houses in the district, including 57,319 urban houses and 1,30,824 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 407 villages in kurukshetra district.
