Panipat District, Haryana

Panipat District is an administrative district in the state of Haryana, India. It is situated about 150 km from Chandigarh, the state capital of Haryana. The district headquarters is located at Panipat. Hindi and Haryanvi are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 1,268 km², including 1,188.65 km² of rural area and 79.35 km² of urban area.
