Anantnag

Anantnag is a district in the Jammu & Kashmir State of India. Total area of Anantnag is 3,574 km² including 3,475.76 km² rural area and 98.24 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Anantnag has a population of 10,78,692 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,82,887 while rural population is 7,95,805. Anantnag has a sex ratio of approximately 927 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 302 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,53,640 houses in the district, including 35,992 urban houses and 1,17,648 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 335 villages in anantnag district.
