Kishtwar is a district in the Jammu & Kashmir State of India. Total area of Kishtwar is 1,644 km² including 1,643.37 km² rural area and 0.63 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Kishtwar has a population of 2,30,696 peoples, out of which urban population is 14,865 while rural population is 2,15,831. Kishtwar has a sex ratio of approximately 919 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 140 inhabitants per square kilometre.
