Kulgam

Kulgam is a district in the Jammu & Kashmir State of India. Total area of Kulgam is 410 km² including 360.20 km² rural area and 49.80 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Kulgam has a population of 4,24,483 peoples, out of which urban population is 80,613 while rural population is 3,43,870. Kulgam has a sex ratio of approximately 950 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1035 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 73,728 houses in the district, including 13,806 urban houses and 59,922 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 226 villages in kulgam district.
