Kupwara is a district in the Jammu & Kashmir State of India. Total area of Kupwara is 2,379 km² including 2,331.66 km² rural area and 47.34 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Kupwara has a population of 8,70,354 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,04,729 while rural population is 7,65,625.
