Kupwara

Kupwara is a district in the Jammu & Kashmir State of India. Total area of Kupwara is 2,379 km² including 2,331.66 km² rural area and 47.34 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Kupwara has a population of 8,70,354 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,04,729 while rural population is 7,65,625. Kupwara has a sex ratio of approximately 835 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 366 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,13,929 houses in the district, including 11,999 urban houses and 1,01,930 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 353 villages in kupwara district.
