Punch

Punch is a district in the Jammu & Kashmir State of India. Total area of Punch is 1,674 km² including 1,649.92 km² rural area and 24.08 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Punch has a population of 4,76,835 peoples, out of which urban population is 38,630 while rural population is 4,38,205. Punch has a sex ratio of approximately 892 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 285 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 90,261 houses in the district, including 7,216 urban houses and 83,045 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 170 villages in punch district.
