Samba

Samba is a district in the Jammu & Kashmir State of India. Total area of Samba is 904 km² including 865.24 km² rural area and 38.76 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Samba has a population of 3,18,898 peoples, out of which urban population is 53,615 while rural population is 2,65,283. Samba has a sex ratio of approximately 885 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 353 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 65,385 houses in the district, including 10,667 urban houses and 54,718 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 345 villages in samba district.
