Shupiyan

Shupiyan is a district in the Jammu & Kashmir State of India. Total area of Shupiyan is 312 km² including 306.56 km² rural area and 5.44 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Shupiyan has a population of 2,66,215 peoples, out of which urban population is 16,360 while rural population is 2,49,855. Shupiyan has a sex ratio of approximately 950 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 853 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 44,411 houses in the district, including 2,553 urban houses and 41,858 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 226 villages in shupiyan district.
