Poonch District, Jammu And Kashmir

Poonch is an administrative district in Jammu And Kashmir, India. The district is located about 240 km from Srinagar, the capital of the Union Territory. Its administrative headquarters is in Poonch. Gojri, Pahari and Urdu are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 1,674 km², including 1,649.92 km² of rural area and 24.08 km² of urban area.
