Bangalore Rural is a district in the Karnataka State of India. Total area of Bangalore Rural is 2,298 km² including 2,229.55 km² rural area and 68.45 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Bangalore Rural has a population of 9,90,923 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,68,744 while rural population is 7,22,179. Bangalore Rural has a sex ratio of approximately 946 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 431 inhabitants per square kilometre.
