Bangalore is a district in the Karnataka State of India. Total area of Bangalore is 2,196 km² including 1,391.15 km² rural area and 804.85 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Bangalore has a population of 96,21,551 peoples, out of which urban population is 87,49,944 while rural population is 8,71,607. Bangalore has a sex ratio of approximately 915 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 4381 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 23,93,845 houses in the district, including 21,80,638 urban houses and 2,13,207 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 562 villages in bangalore district.
