Belgaum

Belgaum is a district in the Karnataka State of India. Total area of Belgaum is 13,433 km² including 13,014.51 km² rural area and 418.49 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Belgaum has a population of 47,79,661 peoples, out of which urban population is 12,11,195 while rural population is 35,68,466. Belgaum has a sex ratio of approximately 972 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 356 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 9,83,854 houses in the district, including 2,64,621 urban houses and 7,19,233 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,263 villages in belgaum district.
