Chitradurga

Chitradurga is a district in the Karnataka State of India. Total area of Chitradurga is 8,436 km² including 8,295.99 km² rural area and 140.01 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Chitradurga has a population of 16,59,456 peoples, out of which urban population is 3,29,533 while rural population is 13,29,923. Chitradurga has a sex ratio of approximately 973 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 197 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,57,003 houses in the district, including 73,334 urban houses and 2,83,669 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 948 villages in chitradurga district.
