Hassan

Hassan is a district in the Karnataka State of India. Total area of Hassan is 6,814 km² including 6,732.78 km² rural area and 81.22 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Hassan has a population of 17,76,421 peoples, out of which urban population is 3,76,763 while rural population is 13,99,658. Hassan has a sex ratio of approximately 1010 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 261 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 4,33,453 houses in the district, including 91,819 urban houses and 3,41,634 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 2,418 villages in hassan district.
