Mandya

Mandya is a district in the Karnataka State of India. Total area of Mandya is 4,962 km² including 4,905.32 km² rural area and 56.68 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Mandya has a population of 18,05,769 peoples, out of which urban population is 3,08,362 while rural population is 14,97,407. Mandya has a sex ratio of approximately 995 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 364 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 4,28,625 houses in the district, including 73,354 urban houses and 3,55,271 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,368 villages in mandya district.
