Malappuram

Malappuram is a district in the Kerala State of India. Total area of Malappuram is 3,554 km² including 2,654.41 km² rural area and 899.59 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Malappuram has a population of 41,12,920 peoples, out of which urban population is 18,17,211 while rural population is 22,95,709. Malappuram has a sex ratio of approximately 1098 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1157 inhabitants per square kilometre.
