Satna

Satna is a district in the Madhya Pradesh State of India. Total area of Satna is 7,502 km² including 7,220.92 km² rural area and 281.08 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Satna has a population of 22,28,935 peoples, out of which urban population is 4,74,418 while rural population is 17,54,517. Satna has a sex ratio of approximately 925 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 297.1 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 4,78,741 houses in the district, including 92,955 urban houses and 3,85,786 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,799 villages in satna district.

The Satna district is further divided in to Tehsils / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
