Jalgaon

Jalgaon is a district in the Maharashtra State of India. Total area of Jalgaon is 11,765 km² including 11,417.15 km² rural area and 347.85 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Jalgaon has a population of 42,29,917 peoples, out of which urban population is 13,42,711 while rural population is 28,87,206. Jalgaon has a sex ratio of approximately 924 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 359.5 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 9,03,643 houses in the district, including 2,79,073 urban houses and 6,24,570 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,487 villages in jalgaon district.
