Osmanabad is a district in the Maharashtra State of India. Total area of Osmanabad is 7,569 km² including 7,439.99 km² rural area and 129.01 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Osmanabad has a population of 16,57,576 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,81,057 while rural population is 13,76,519. Osmanabad has a sex ratio of approximately 923 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 219 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,51,281 houses in the district, including 54,787 urban houses and 2,96,494 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 728 villages in osmanabad district.
