Sangli District, Maharashtra

Sangli District is an administrative district in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is situated about 390 km from Mumbai, the state capital of Maharashtra. The district headquarters is located at Sangli. Marathi and Kannada (southern) are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 8,572 km², including 8,217.72 km² of rural area and 354.28 km² of urban area.
