Sindhudurg

Sindhudurg is a district in the Maharashtra State of India. Total area of Sindhudurg is 5,207 km² including 5,142.71 km² rural area and 64.29 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Sindhudurg has a population of 8,49,651 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,07,006 while rural population is 7,42,645. Sindhudurg has a sex ratio of approximately 1035 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 163.2 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,09,839 houses in the district, including 26,638 urban houses and 1,83,201 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 740 villages in sindhudurg district.
