Washim

Washim is a district in the Maharashtra State of India. Total area of Washim is 4,901 km² including 4,821.10 km² rural area and 80.09 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Washim has a population of 11,97,160 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,11,413 while rural population is 9,85,747. Washim has a sex ratio of approximately 929 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 244.3 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,59,464 houses in the district, including 41,061 urban houses and 2,18,403 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 698 villages in washim district.
