Jaintia Hills is a district in the Meghalaya State of India. Total area of Jaintia Hills is 3,819 km² including 3,811.00 km² rural area and 8.00 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Jaintia Hills has a population of 3,95,124 peoples, out of which urban population is 28,430 while rural population is 3,66,694. The district has a population density of 103.5 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 66,028 houses in the district, including 4,942 urban houses and 61,086 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 498 villages in jaintia hills district.
