West Khasi Hills

West Khasi Hills is a district in the Meghalaya State of India. Total area of West Khasi Hills is 5,247 km² including 5,150.37 km² rural area and 96.63 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, West Khasi Hills has a population of 3,83,461 peoples, out of which urban population is 43,105 while rural population is 3,40,356. West Khasi Hills has a sex ratio of approximately 979 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 73.08 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 64,906 houses in the district, including 7,186 urban houses and 57,720 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,093 villages in west khasi hills district.
