Rayagada is a district in the Odisha State of India. Total area of Rayagada is 7,073 km² including 7,004.34 km² rural area and 68.66 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Rayagada has a population of 9,67,911 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,46,966 while rural population is 8,20,945. The district has a population density of 136.8 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,26,144 houses in the district, including 34,576 urban houses and 1,91,568 rural houses.
