Barnala is a district in the Punjab State of India. Total area of Barnala is 1,482 km² including 1,431.25 km² rural area and 50.75 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Barnala has a population of 5,95,527 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,90,685 while rural population is 4,04,842. The district has a population density of 402 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,15,798 houses in the district, including 39,141 urban houses and 76,657 rural houses.
