Bathinda is a district in the Punjab State of India. Total area of Bathinda is 3,353 km² including 3,193.91 km² rural area and 159.09 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Bathinda has a population of 13,88,525 peoples, out of which urban population is 4,99,217 while rural population is 8,89,308. Bathinda has a sex ratio of approximately 868 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 414 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,73,902 houses in the district, including 1,02,610 urban houses and 1,71,292 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 279 villages in bathinda district.
