Hoshiarpur is a district in the Punjab State of India. Total area of Hoshiarpur is 3,386 km² including 3,243.71 km² rural area and 142.29 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Hoshiarpur has a population of 15,86,625 peoples, out of which urban population is 3,34,969 while rural population is 12,51,656. The district has a population density of 469 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,36,994 houses in the district, including 72,163 urban houses and 2,64,831 rural houses.
